All of these courses are within approximately 15–35 minutes of our properties, making it easy to enjoy a different course each day during your stay.
Frequently recommended by local golfers as one of the area’s premier courses, Ross-on-Wye Golf Club offers a challenging tree-lined 18-hole parkland course maintained to an exceptionally high standard.
Best suited to golfers with a recognised handicap, the course combines excellent greens, mature fairways and a rewarding layout with first-class facilities. The award-winning PGA professional shop offers equipment, clothing, custom fitting and lessons with PGA professionals, while the welcoming clubhouse serves excellent food and drinks throughout the day.

Set within the historic Rolls Estate at The Hendre, The Rolls of Monmouth is one of the region’s most spectacular championship golf courses, combining challenging golf with breathtaking views across the Welsh countryside.
Measuring over 6,700 yards, the course rewards thoughtful course management and is best suited to experienced golfers looking for a rewarding test. The rolling terrain means many visitors choose to hire a buggy, allowing them to enjoy both the golf and the scenery. Visitors are welcome throughout the week, with excellent clubhouse facilities and practice areas completing the experience.
Friendly, welcoming and relaxed, South Herefordshire Golf Club is an excellent choice for golfers of all abilities.
The course offers a more forgiving layout than some of the area’s more challenging courses, making it ideal for an enjoyable round. Visitors can also make use of the excellent practice facilities, including a floodlit Toptracer driving range and a separate 9-hole par 3 course—perfect for beginners, families or anyone looking to sharpen their short game. With panoramic views across Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and the Welsh Hills, it’s a pleasure to play whatever your handicap.
Set high above the historic town of Monmouth, Monmouth Golf enjoys spectacular views across the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean and Welsh Hills. Often referred to as the “Jewel in the Hills”, it’s a picturesque 18-hole parkland course that offers an enjoyable round for golfers of all abilities.
Under new ownership, the course continues to benefit from ongoing investment and improvements. Visitors are warmly welcomed, with affordable green fees, buggy and club hire, and a friendly clubhouse making it an excellent choice for a relaxed day on the course.
Alexander Park Resort is an excellent choice for beginners, families and golfers looking for a relaxed, enjoyable round.
Its 18-hole course offers an easy walking layout that can be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities, while the impressive practice facilities make it a great place to learn or improve your game. The resort also features one of the region’s best floodlit Toptracer driving ranges, PGA coaching, a bistro, spa and gym, making it easy to turn a round of golf into a full day out.
